Thanks to the following granting agencies for their generous support of our digital projects:
Humanities Texas
Grant to the UNT Libraries to launch an initiative to develop and
present online lesson plans that incorporate the interactive notebook
style of learning. In total, twenty lesson plans will be developed by
master teachers accomplished in creating this type of innovative
curriculum. This project is made possible in part by a grant from
Humanities Texas, a state partner of the National Endowment for the

The Summerlee Foundation
Grant to the UNT Libraries for phase II of “Rescuing Texas History
through the Digitization of At-risk Photographs and Maps.” Through funds
provided by the Summerlee Foundation of Dallas, The Portal to Texas
History offers digitization mini-grants for at-risk local history
materials. The awardees include the Anderson County Historical
Commission; Austin History Center, Austin Public Library; Bosque County
Historical Commission; Childress County Heritage Museum; Corpus Christi
Museum of Science and History; Dallas Heritage Village; FBC Heritage
Museum Unlimited; First Christian Church, Port Arthur; Heritage House
Museum, Orange; Historic Rose Marine Theater; Kemah Historical Society;
Museum of the American Railroad; Palestine Public Library; Sanger Public
Library; Sulphur Springs Public Library; Texas Lutheran University; and
