Of course, there is plenty of information in the Digital Collections about UNT’s own albino squirrel(s). The Albino Squirrel Preservation Society is mentioned in issues of The North Texan, including this 2002 issue, and in the 2005 yearbook. The squirrels also appear in the North Texas Daily on multiple occasions including an “in memoriam” note about the albino squirrel killed in 2006, and a story about the memorial service. Find more items about squirrels in The Portal to Texas History or the UNT Digital Library, or search for other summer wildlife.
