In 1892, Charles-Emile Renaud’s Theatre Optique became the first ever moving picture show, starting a new style of art that still captivates audiences today: animation. Technology has grown in leaps and bounds since Theatre Optique debuted, and animation along with it.
There are several ways you can celebrate the art of animation with UNT Libraries:
- Attend a workshop and learn how to use Blender animation software with The Factory.
- Read a book about the history of animation from the UNT Library Catalog.
- Check out online resources to help you become a better animator.
- Watch one of the many animated movies available for checkout at the Media Library.
